The NetQoS Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007 represents a significant step forward in enabling IT operations teams to manage their networks for application performance. Rather than focusing solely on infrastructure availability and utilization, network engineers and operations staff can now monitor key performance metrics across the enterprise using their familiar management console. With the NetQoS Management Pack, IT staff can more easily shift to a performance-first approach by viewing application response time, link traffic analysis, and device performance data from the NetQoS Performance Center, now integrated with Microsoft’s system and network management reports in Operations Manager 2007.

    The NetQoS Management Pack integrates performance data from the NetQoS Performance Center with network and systems management data from Microsoft, allowing you to view all the information you need to effectively troubleshoot issues from a single web console.

    With this integration, operations teams and network engineers can now share performance-related reports and alerts to improve cross-functional collaboration and eliminate finger-pointing.

The NetQoS Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007
Once you’ve installed the NetQoS Management Pack, you can view NetQoS Performance Center data, including application response time, link traffic analysis, and device performance data, in Microsoft’s Operations Manager 2007. Each view shows the same live data and functions that you see in the NetQoS Performance Center, fully integrated into the Operations Manager console. Just as with the NetQoS Performance Center, you can sort on a particular column or page through the data. Each view in the Operations Manager provides a link that takes you directly to the NetQoS Performance Center for more detailed troubleshooting and analysis, if required.
